Kabar, a building technology company, has signed an agreement for the exclusive distribution of flame-free hydrogen heaters by German company HYTING in Poland. The technology, based on catalytic oxidation, enables full decarbonisation of heating systems while optimising operational costs.
HYTING is an innovative heating technology that uses the catalytic oxidation of hydrogen to generate heat directly without the use of a flame, enabling emission-free and highly efficient heating of buildings. By maintaining the fuel concentration below 3%, the technology ensures process safety without the need for strict explosion protection measures.

Through our solutions, we help companies significantly reduce their carbon footprint by providing emission-free heat for buildings and industrial processes requiring temperatures of up to 300°C, while allowing seamless integration with other sustainable technologies,” emphasises Tim Hannig, CEO of HYTING.
The highest energy efficiency can be achieved by combining HYTING systems with heat pumps. Using hydrogen heaters to cover peak heat demand makes it possible to avoid costly oversizing of electrical infrastructure and significantly reduce contracted power charges. Thanks to the direct use of heated air, without intermediate heat exchangers, the system generates 37.4 kWh of thermal energy from 1 kg of hydrogen, making it one of the most efficient hydrogen-based heating solutions currently available.
The use of flame-free oxidation completely eliminates emissions of carbon dioxide, nitrogen oxides, and particulate matter, with water being the only by-product. For customers, the technology enables the practical achievement of ESG targets while reducing operational and investment costs by 20–30% compared with alternative zero-emission solutions.

As part of the agreement, Kabar will be responsible for the sales, distribution, installation, and servicing of HYTING devices in Poland. The technology will primarily be used for heating logistics halls, production facilities, and large-scale commercial buildings.
