Kabar, a building technology company, has started the implementation of advanced installation systems at SIKA Poland’s new production and warehouse complex in Brześć Kujawski. The project, carried out on behalf of the general contractor Harden Construction, includes the implementation of advanced sanitary, electrical, and renewable energy systems.
The technologically advanced factory, together with a modern warehouse and office-social facilities for SIKA Poland, is being constructed in Machnacz, within the Brześć Kujawski municipality, in the Pomeranian Special Economic Zone. The 11,000 sqm facility will be the largest investment of the global construction chemicals leader in Poland. The project was designed to increase energy independence and reduce environmental impact.

The scope of works entrusted to Kabar includes comprehensive execution of electrical and sanitary installations, as well as the development of an automated energy management system. The project includes the implementation of a remote electricity meter reading system and tools for continuous monitoring and analysis of power consumption profiles. These solutions are complemented by a modern low-loss uninterruptible power supply (UPS) system and energy-optimised safety systems.
A 750 kWp photovoltaic installation has been installed on the roof of the newly constructed facility, using 450 W glass-glass IBC PV modules characterised by high efficiency and Class A fire resistance. The investment significantly increases the plant’s energy independence, reduces electricity consumption from the grid, and enables a reduction of CO₂ emissions by 267 tonnes annually.
“The project stands out due to its high level of system integration. We have combined the power infrastructure supporting the warehouse and technological equipment with a large-scale photovoltaic installation. Through the implementation of an automated energy management system and remote meter reading, the investor will gain tools for ongoing monitoring and analysis of energy consumption profiles,” explains Piotr Miodek, Vice President of the Kabar Group.
The SIKA factory is a technically advanced project requiring close coordination between the general contractor and technology system providers.
